Bridal Shower Favor Cake

Since I'm still new with the blogging, I have a variety of projects to share with you. The problem is finding the time to get them all posted. I'm working on it though. :)

I thought I would share the bridal shower favors I made for my now Sister-In-Law's shower. My wonderful mother and friend both helped with the creation of this cake. Since this is the first one I've made, I went with a pretty simple design. The 5-Petal Flowers were adhered on one side so guests could put the piece of cake back together after getting the goodies out. The 'plate' was made with a piece of the light chipboard found in the packs of DSP. The scallop edging was made using my corner rounder. I so wish we would have had the wonderful Scallop Border punch when I made this!! :)

If you're interested in making one of these for a party of your own or having one made for you, I'd love to talk with you about it. Contact me and we'll set up a time to work out the details.

Stamp Set-Sprinkles
Paper-Whisper White, Cameo Coral
Ink-Cameo Coral

Diva Sketch Challenge 3

Here's my creation for this week's sketch challenge from UDI. Come and play along with us.

I'm still new at this challenge thing and tend to take the sketches pretty literally as far as shapes and such go.

I put a blob of Crystal Effects in the center, then sprinkled it with a little Dazzling Diamonds. I decided to go with the itty bitty faux bow to add to the ribbon. I like the way it turned out. I cannot believe I'm saying that. I'm definitely my worst critic (aren't we all our own worst critic??) and am actually starting to like what I'm creating??! I hope others feel the same. :) Stamp Set-Think Happy Thoughts
Paper-Confetti White CS, Riding Hood Red CS, Pink Pirouette CS, Whisper White CS, Bella Rose DSP
Ink-Riding Hood Red Classic, Pink Pirouette Classic
Accessories--Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Pretty in Pink Grosgrain Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, Crystal Effects, Dazzling Diamonds, Mini Glue Dots

I decided to go with a birthday card because my baby girl is TWO today. Here she is the day we brought her home from the hospital, all bright eyed. :)
Here she is now, standing in front of the fan letting her hair blow in the wind. Love ya baby girl!

Time goes by quick. Enjoy it.

Glittery Wishes

Here's a card that was one of our make-n-takes at my upupline's meeting. This was created by my upline and I LOVE it. It was one of the projects we made at club this month, plus one of the cards we made at my September Stamp-A-Stack. I decided to change the saying and also used it as my swap for a Christmas card swap I'm in. (Sorry for the sneak peek to those of you in the swap) The thing I like about it the most (well...besides the glitter) is that it was created using the Pick-A-Petal stamp set. I love when I learn new ways of using a set. Makes it definitely worth the cost (or more) when you find numerous ways to use it.
