Here's the card I created for this week's sketch challenge over at UDI. If you would like to participate, leave a comment here with a link to your creation. I would love to see what you create with the sketch.

Not sure if you can tell from the picture, but I covered the the cupcakes with Dazzling Diamonds. Gotta love that bling. :) I heat-embossed the saying with detailed white embossing powder.

Sketch Challenge (#35)

This week was pretty full around here. Between a first birthday party for my youngest, my oldest getting his stitches out, a friend visiting and a Stamp-A-Stack, it was good to have some time to create something for this week's sketch on UDI. My card didn't necessarily come out how I was thinking initially, but it works. I've been using pinks and browns quite a bit lately, so I decided to stick with those colors for the sketch. I will definitely miss using Pink Pirouette cardstock and this amazing designer series paper when they retire at the end of the month.

Paper-Chocolate Chip CS, Pink Pirouette CS, Sweet Always DSP
Accessories-Big Shot, Daisies #2 Die, 3/4" Circle Punch, Pop-Up Glue Dot

Hope you have a wonderful day. :)

Sketch Challenge (#34)

It's been a while since I've participated in one of my own sketch challenges from the UDI blog. It's been a rough time around here recently. Between the kids and I being sick for about a month, I have just fallen way behind with things.

One of the cards created for this month's Stamp-A-Stack was made using this week's sketch. I love being able to use the Big Shot dies for so many things. These scallop circle dresses are just the cutest. You can make such quick cards with these. I used Patty's template to create the dress. My upline shared a tip with us to use if you are creating quite a few of these cards. Cut your squares at 4x5 and run them through the Big Shot. Your sides will be flat, but you're cutting those away anyway, so....no worries. :) Use different embellishments with these and have fun!

Paper-Kiwi Kiss CS, Bella Rose DSP
Accessories--Big Shot, Scallop Circle Die, Riding Hood Red Taffeta ribbon, clear rhinestone brad

I hope you have a wonderful weekend. We'll be celebrating my youngest's 1st birthday with family, friends and fun. Hard to believe he is already one.

Sketch Challenge Saturday (DivaSC19)

This weekend I'm spending time with my mom and some stamping friends from out-of-town. It's so great to spend time visiting and creating.

I went pretty simple with today's sketch challenge from UDI. I received a swap using these colors and just really liked the color combination. The flowers are crumpled up a little bit to help with the dimensions. .

Paper-Chocolate Chip CS, So Saffron CS, Candylane DSP
Accessories-5 Petal Flower Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch

Have a wonderful weekend. Take some time out for you!! :)

Sketch Challenge Saturday (DivaSC17)

Happy Valentine's Day to you. I wanted to share what I came up with for the UDI sketch challenge. Paper is one of the many things I tend to hoard. I don't usually want to cut into that beautiful 12x12 piece of paper. I decided I need to start doing more of it and cut into a sheet of the Raspberry Tart paper...finally. This card is a 5.5x5.5 square card. I just couldn't seem to get the measurements I wanted with trying to put it on a normal sized card. I used a couple of the hearts punched out on Pretty in Pink and added them to the bottom corner to get the look of dry embossing. I added a little Rose Red ink directly around the sides of the Naturals Ivory cardstock. Sorry about the double watermark on the picture.

Stamp Set-Love You Much
Ink-Rose Red
Paper-Pretty in Pink, Naturals Ivory, Raspberry Tart DSP
Accessories-Pretties Kit, Felt Flowers, Old Olive and Pretty in Pink Stampin' Write Markers, Heart to Heart Punch

Have a wonderful day.

Sketch Challenge Saturday (DivaSC15)

Here's the card I created using the sketch found on UDI. I changed it up just a little bit, but like how it came out. The bee's little wings have some Dazzling Diamonds on them (so does my couch, floor, dogs, kids, me, etc. hehe). I made a bunch of these to swap out at a meeting today. The meeting was so great! It's always good to get together with others who enjoy the same hobby as you. We share ideas, learn new things and stamp projects. Interested in joining us? Contact me about becoming a demonstrator today. Interested in just stamping with me, let's set up a date to play. :)

Sketch Challenge Saturday (DivaSC14)

The sketch was a little simple looking to me, so that's what I went with...simple. :) We could always use some simple cards now and then. Plus..this gave me a way to use my bigger die cut flowers. Check out the sketch here.

Today's project is a revamp of a card created for a Stamp-A-Stack a couple of months ago. I used pieces from the original card and added to it to come up with a card for the UDI sketch challenge. Still not sure what I think about it, but it does look similar to the sketch.

Cardstock-Real Red, Only Orange, Yo Yo Yellow, Whisper White
Accessories-Stampin' Write Markers (Yo Yo Yellow, Green Galore, Only Orange, Real Red), Red Gingham ribbon, White Grosgrain ribbon, Crop-A-Dile

Thanks for looking. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas. :)

Diva Sketch Challenge 6

Here's this week's UDI sketch challenge. I was playing with some scraps I had laying around again and here is what I came up with. I'm starting to like the coordinating colors (even though I used Old Olive instead of Kiwi Kiss) for the Frosty Day Designer Series Paper found in the Holiday Mini Catalog. Not sure what I think about my finished project, but...hey....it's a FINISHED project. :)

Check out the sketch below and play along.

Paper-Old Olive textured, Bashful Blue, Close to Cocoa, Frosty Day DSP
Ink-Bashful Blue, VersaMark
Accessories-Circle Scallop Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Stampin' Up Big Shot, Pennant Die, Sakura Gelly Roll Pen

Diva Sketch Challenge 3

Here's my creation for this week's sketch challenge from UDI. Come and play along with us.

I'm still new at this challenge thing and tend to take the sketches pretty literally as far as shapes and such go.

I put a blob of Crystal Effects in the center, then sprinkled it with a little Dazzling Diamonds. I decided to go with the itty bitty faux bow to add to the ribbon. I like the way it turned out. I cannot believe I'm saying that. I'm definitely my worst critic (aren't we all our own worst critic??) and am actually starting to like what I'm creating??! I hope others feel the same. :) Stamp Set-Think Happy Thoughts
Paper-Confetti White CS, Riding Hood Red CS, Pink Pirouette CS, Whisper White CS, Bella Rose DSP
Ink-Riding Hood Red Classic, Pink Pirouette Classic
Accessories--Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Pretty in Pink Grosgrain Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, Crystal Effects, Dazzling Diamonds, Mini Glue Dots

I decided to go with a birthday card because my baby girl is TWO today. Here she is the day we brought her home from the hospital, all bright eyed. :)
Here she is now, standing in front of the fan letting her hair blow in the wind. Love ya baby girl!

Time goes by quick. Enjoy it.

Another New Adventure.....Sketch Challenge 1

I will be part of the Sketch Challenge team on the Utah Divas International Blog. I know I've mentioned the blog before since my posts have consisted of Inspiration Challenges posted by Maria on the blog. The blog is created by members of the UDI group. The actual group is for Stampin' Up! demonstrators. I am one of the assistant managers and the group membership coordinator, plus I post on the blog each Saturday. If you're interested in joining a positive group that will help you with your Stampin' Up! business, please let me know and I'll get the information to you.

My card was created using one of the notecards. I recently started using these and love the ease of being able to put together a card quite quickly (unless you sit and stare at it forever and move things around all of the time :) ). This is the first sketch challenge I've done, so hopefully I'm doing what I should be.

Stamp Sets-Short & Sweet
Paper-Tangerine Tango, Whisper White and Hawaii Papaya DSP
